Heroines from the Tinder Swindler empower other women!

Have you heard about the British true crime documentary film ‘’ The Tinder Swindler ‘’?

This documentary tells the story of the Israeli conman Simon Leviev (born Shimon Hayut) who used the dating application Tinder to connect with individuals who he then emotionally manipulated into financially supporting his lavish lifestyle on the pretext he needed the money to escape his “enemies’’. Simon  presented himself as the son of Russian-Israeli diamond mogul    Lev Leviev aka the Diamond King. The victims of his cruel plan became three women:

Cecilie Fjellhøy, a Norwegian, whose life has turned upside down in England, still lives in London. Despite the fact that she still seems to be paying off her debt, she tries to live her best life so that Simon never has a long-term influence on her. In addition to working as Senior UX and Service Designer at Sopra Steria (a software company based in Paris), Cecilie is also the founder of action: reaction (a non-profit organization that raises awareness about fraud).

Pernilla Sjöholm first met Simon Leviev on Tinder in March 2018 and was immediately drawn to the fact that he was as hard-working and passionate as she was. Quickly, they became friends. Pernilla ‘’borrowed’’ Simon 300 000 dollars for his ‘’business trips’’. Then it turns out that Simon is fraud, and she started to be in contact with another of his victims Cecilie.

Ayleen Charlotte first met Simon Leviev in late 2017. She had been cheated by Simon for almost 2 years into thinking she was in a happy relationship Unfortunately, it was then that Ayleen found out that she was not the only one – not only did Simon have other partners, but the way and time he talked to them were also the same. When she found out that she was cheated, she had already given him nearly $ 140,000.

‘’The Tinder Swindler’’ story is incredible, one man made a lot of troubles, not only to those three women, there are more victims, who are still afraid to take up their voices. However, there are positive aspects coming from this story. Cecilie, Pernilla and Ayleen became good friends, and currently they are helping other fraud victims! They are taking part in different events, workshops and seminars related to women empowerment. One of the examples of the projects they implemented together is the Podcast about ‘’Tinder Swindler’’ presenting the tips how to avoid being fraud victim. Another project women implemented together is  The Stronger Together bracelet made in collaboration with real Leviev diamonds company, that decided to help Cecile, Pernilla and Ayleen. All profits are going directly to the women to help them to still pay their dept. This initiative represents women supporting women and speaking up to bring justice against all criticism because when women are together, they are STRONGER!

I really recommend you to check this documentary and social media accounts of Cecilie, Pernilla and Ayleen, they are doing really great job to help and empower other women!
