    Hello Everyone 😉

This short activity is a part of 2.7 Large Scale Mobility

What kind of rights do women need the most in the contemporary world? The participants of the training will be divided into 6 mixed-nationality groups. Each group will receive one tittle of the song which topic is related to the protection of women rights, and promotion of ideas of respect, peace, tolerance, self-acceptance and independence.

    1. Lesley Gore”You don’t own me”

    2. Destiny’s Child ”Independent women part”

    3. Chaka Khan “I’m Every Woman”

    4. Aretha Franklin”Respect”

    5. Alicia Keys”Girl on Fire”

    6. Meghan Trainor”All About That Bass”

Then, the groups will provide answers to the above-mentioned question and present what is the relation of these songs with the particular Women needs or/and Women Rights.

Destiny’s Child – Independent Women Part

Nowadays women can have financial independence and not rely on men, they don’t anyone else to support them.

We have faced it often, as people often assume that we can’t earn money by ourselves or we are only gifted things like clothes, jewelry, houses, cars etc.

The message of the song is that women are equal and independent and they can buy their own things. They can provide for themselves, pay the bills and work just like men can.

A current problem that women are facing and need more rights for is the wage gap, as women are often paid less than men. We need a system of equality and justice.

Our song was “You don’t own me” and we all agreed that the song is about women oppression ejected by men, mostly in a relationship. The message that the song wants to spread is that of acting and making women powerful enough to break that oppression. We think that women have to take their right of choice and their own voices to stop this kind of situation.
